Privacy Policy
PLACEHOLDER — operator name, contact address and any advertising partners must be filled in, and this page reviewed by a lawyer, before launch. The description of what is collected below is accurate as built.
The short version
We record how you use this site — what you view, play, hover over, search for and click — along with your IP address and the city it resolves to. We use it to decide what to show you. We do not sell it, and we do not share it with advertisers.
What we store on your device
Your age confirmation, whether you prefer the grid or scrolling view, and a random identifier that represents you. That identifier is not your name and is not derived from your device. Clearing your browser’s site data deletes it and starts you over as a new visitor.
What we record on our servers
- Activity. Which clips appear on your screen, which you hover over and for how long, which play, which you open, what you search for, which tags you pick, and which links you follow to a creator.
- Network and location. Your IP address, and the country and city it resolves to, together with your browser’s user-agent string. Location comes from the IP address; we do not ask your device for GPS.
- Where you arrived from, if another site linked you here.
All of it is stored against the random identifier described above. If you sign in, it is also associated with your account and therefore with the X handle you signed in with.
Why we treat this as sensitive
What someone watches on a site like this can imply things about their sexuality. We consider that sensitive personal data. It is used to run and personalise this site and for nothing else: it is not sold, not licensed, not shared with advertising networks, and not used to build profiles for anyone but us.
[If EU/UK visitors are in scope, this processing requires explicit consent under Article 9 GDPR, and a compliant consent mechanism must be added before serving those users.]
Creator click counts
When anyone follows a link from a clip to its creator, we count that the click happened and which creator it belonged to, so creators can see how much traffic we send them. Creators see counts, never who clicked.
Who can see your data
Only the site operator. It is not visible to other visitors, to creators, or to anyone signing in. It is held in our database (Supabase) and served through our host (Vercel), both of which process it on our behalf.
Deleting it
Clearing your site data disconnects you from everything recorded so far — a new identifier is issued and the old record is no longer linked to you. To have the underlying records erased, or to ask what is held about you, contact us at admin@tandagallery.com. If you have an account, deleting it removes the association with your handle.
Third parties
Clips stream from RedGifs, so your browser contacts their servers to play them; their handling of that request is governed by their own policy. We send no referrer information with those requests.
[If advertising is added, the network and its data practices must be disclosed here.]
